Foam Fire Extinguisher
A bright red foam fire extinguisher perfect for dousing flames in construction sites this fire extinguisher can be used on Class A fires and Class B fires. Class A fires can be found in environments that contain paper, cloth, plastic and wood whilst Class B fires can be found in environments that contain flammable liquids such as gasses, oil, solvents, tar and oil-based lacquers and paint. Both types of fires can be found on construction sites and the CO2 fire extinguisher ensures the fires are cleared in rapid succession.
The foam fire extinguisher successfully seals flames by suffocating the fire, sealing the surface of the burning object, cooling it down as it seals. Sealing the surface, the foam extinguisher prevents stray materials from scattering and starting fires elsewhere.
With its BS: EN3 certification, the fire extinguisher is an up-to-date industry standard fire extinguisher that can be used on any construction site. It is recommended to have 1 foam extinguisher and 1 CO2 at each fire point on each storey of a building. The larger the site, the more fire points are needed.
Foam fire extinguisher CAN be used on Class A & B fires:
- A - Solid combustibles - wood, paper, plastic, cloth
- B – Flammable liquids – solvents, paints, fuels, tar, oil
Foam fire extinguisher CANNOT be used on Class C, D, E and F fires:
- C – Gasses - propane, butane
- D – Metals - magnesium, titanium, sodium, lithium
- E – Electrical equipment – computers, servers, TVs
- F – Cooking oils – cooking fat, olive oil
