Temporary Fencing

We have a range of Temporary Fencing options generally used on construction and demolition sites and at outdoor events such as festivals. Our Temporary # are the most safe, cost effective option to fence off a perimeter and require Rubber Block Fence Feet and steel Fence Clips to set up. Portable Steel Hoarding panels are commonly found on construction and demolition sites – being easy to install and transport making it a more flexible option than in-ground fencing.

More heavy duty options are available for higher security fencing systems. In-Ground Hoarding requires posts to be dug into the ground and On-Ground uses blocks and ballast trays to provide structural support. These hoarding options are very robust and durable and are generally suited to projects lasting more than 12 months. Timber Plywood Hoarding is also available being a budget in-ground option for short term projects.

In addition, we also have a number of accompanying products to enable you to work effectively on your sites such as Acoustic Barriers, Ballast Systems, Block Trays, Fencing Stillages and Pedestrian Gates.

Site Hoarding

Site hoarding from HERMEQ forms a solid, fully clad perimeter around construction and demolition sites that hides the work from view and keeps the public out. Portable steel hoarding panels stand in feet and clip together without excavation, so a small crew can put up, move and take down a line quickly, which keeps labour costs down, and the panels are reused from job to job. The range runs from portable panels to heavy duty on-ground and in-ground systems and concrete barrier hoarding, ordered online in the height and finish the site needs. Stabilisers, block trays and anti-lift brackets add wind resistance and security to the line.

Heras Fencing

Heras fencing, also known as harris fencing, is temporary mesh fencing made of galvanised anti-climb mesh in a tubular steel frame. The standard panel is 3.5m wide and 2.0m high, stands in a fence foot and clips to the next panel. The panels secure the perimeters of construction and demolition sites, and they handle crowd control and security at outdoor events. Rubber block fence feet and fence clips complete each run, while pedestrian and vehicle gates control access to the site. For long programmes and high-value compounds, the range also covers rigid on-ground security fencing and V mesh fencing.

Site Gates

HERMEQ site gates are the vehicle and pedestrian security gates for a fenced or hoarded perimeter, with a gate for each type of line. The mesh pedestrian and vehicle gates are made to the height of Heras fencing panels and fix into the run with the same rubber block fence feet and clips as the panels. For steel hoarding, the range has a vehicle gate and pedestrian gates in standalone and built-in formats. The heavy duty range, with welded steel gates on dig-in or base plated posts, takes the daily plant and delivery traffic of long programmes.

Acoustic Barriers

HERMEQ supplies acoustic barriers and acoustic quilts for temporary noise control on construction, industrial and entertainment sites. The range covers single acoustic fence panels and full-bay quilts for mesh fencing, scaffolding acoustic sheeting, mobile acoustic screens, and enclosures for cutting work and generators. Each format fits by hand to existing fencing or scaffolding, or stands on its own frame. The Echo materials are UV and fire resistant and stand up to rain, frost and dust, so a run can stay in place for the full length of a programme.

Timber Hoarding

Timber hoarding is a temporary fencing system used to secure and screen construction and demolition sites, with plywood or OSB sheets fixed to a timber frame to give a solid face. The sheets are normally used for a single project, so timber hoarding is a cost-effective choice for short-term work of around six to twelve months. The range runs from economical OSB chipboard hoarding through standard plywood hoarding to the premium Advanced grade, with PCH concrete barrier hoarding and ballast blocks for lines that cannot be dug in.

Fencing Stillages

Fencing stillages make it easier to store and transport temporary fencing panels, crowd control barriers and the equipment that goes with them. Panels left loose on a lorry or stacked against a yard wall get bent and scratched, and a steel frame built for the component holds the load together, which extends the working life of the fleet. The range covers stillages for Heras style mesh panels, steel hoarding, rubber block fence feet, crowd and road barriers, ground mats and road forms, with steel bins and pallets for couplers, clamps and other fittings.

Temporary Fencing Accessories

HERMEQ temporary fencing accessories adapt a mesh fencing or steel hoarding system to the ground it stands on and the security the site needs. The range covers fence feet and bases, couplers and anti-tamper clips, stabilisers and ground pins, ballast blocks and wind resistance systems, ground locking systems, and the skirts, infills and mesh extensions that finish a hoarding line.Stabilisers, ballast trays and water-filled bases increase the wind loading a fence line can withstand, and mesh extensions add height for security without adding much wind load to the panels.

Printed Fence Covers

HERMEQ supplies printed fence covers and Heras fence covers that put your brand, project details or sponsor artwork on the fencing and barriers around a site or event. The range covers printed covers for Heras fencing panels and crowd control barriers, with marketing sheeting for construction scaffolding.Every cover is printed to your own artwork, which is agreed with HERMEQ after you order and before anything goes to print.

Concrete Ballast Blocks

Concrete ballast blocks add dead weight to timber and steel hoarding, so a run resists a higher wind load than its frame and stays could take alone. Smaller blocks load the ballast trays and base plates of mesh fencing on ground that cannot be staked. The range runs from blocks one person can lift to heavy precast kentledge placed by plant. Heavy duty precast concrete barriers are also available, carrying plywood hoarding or temporary mesh fencing panels for a high security perimeter that needs no separate ballast.

Tree Protection Fencing

Tree protection fencing keeps plant, materials and site traffic away from retained trees and their roots on development and construction projects. HERMEQ supplies three systems, all built from temporary mesh fencing panels. The scaffold tube system is the most heavy duty option and goes up quickly on site. The timber post system carries the panels on wooden posts set into the ground and is a cost effective fixed line. The mesh and stabiliser system is the lightest of the three and is used mostly on smaller projects.
