Plastic Crowd Control Barrier

These plastic crowd control barriers, otherwise known as plastic ped barriers, provides an innovative approach to managing busy public areas, such as festivals, marathons, and events. The plastic barrier is manufactured from recyclable blow moulded high density polyethylene, which boasts incredible durability and strength. Unlike steel crowd control barriers, which are rigid, plastic crowd control barriers are more flexible. That means that they can take a large amount of weight being applied to them as the plastic barrier has some give in it and can absorb the pressure.

The plastic barriers easily link together using a dual hook and eye system. This simple design makes creating a solid fence line incredibly easy, reducing installation time & costs. However once linked together these barriers form a formidable barrier that is perfect for directing pedestrian traffic and keeping back large crowds. When not in use the barrier feet are turned parallel and the plastic barriers simply stack directly on top of one another. This means they are easily stored and take up little room when not in use.

Plastic crowd control barriers are also extremely popular environments where children are present. This is because the gap underneath these plastic safety barriers is just 150mm, compared to the 250mm gap under steel barriers, meaning that children cannot crawl underneath and get stuck underneath these barriers easily. Plastic crowd control barriers also present less of a risk to children hurting themselves on as they are softer and do not have the sharp edges that you may find on a steel pedestrian or crowd control barrier.

These plastic pedestrian barriers come as standard in ‘space grey’, but we also offer a hi-vis plastic pedestrian barrier, which is orange. Depending on the colour pedestrian barrier required, minimum production runs are normally between 200 and 400. We constantly keep plastic safety barriers in stock and these can be ordered on a next day service if required. They are distributed in pallet loads, a maximum of 40 barriers per pallet.

The feet come fitted as standard to the barrier, however if you would like to change the feet, they simply disconnect and you can easily add new ones. Extra feet can also be purchased if they are required.
