Our self-weighted barriers offer effective blockading without needing water, sand or other external ballasting materials. The item is designed to utilise its own weight and structural design for stability. This Road Runner 500 barrier is suitable for managing light vehicle traffic, the flow of pedestrians, or demarcating safe zones in construction sites, events, or roadworks. It has also passed three critical windspeed tests with the aid of a ballast.

Details

The Road Runner 500 Barrier has been tested under strict conditions at the Full-Scale Wind Tunnel at Mira to determine the wind speeds it can withstand.

Solid Construction

Made from heavy-duty materials including high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and recycled PVC. It is heavy enough to remain stable under normal environmental conditions.

Interlocking Design

Each barrier features a moulded tail system allowing interlocking connection. Multiple units can be easily connected for extended coverage which also enhances overall stability without external reinforcement.

Compact Size

Measuring 500mm high, the barrier is tall enough to provide a physical obstruction while also having a low-profile.

Non-Ballasted

This self-contained barrier does not rely on water or sand for weight, making it ideal for quicker set-up time. It is also low-maintenance and requires no additional materials for setup.

Portable

Although the barrier is self-weighted, it is designed to be portable, easy to deploy and re-arrange, and removable without needing specialised equipment. However, the design does incorporate forklift lifting points as an easy transportation option.
