All of our road barriers are manufactured to the highest quality standards in Ireland. That ensures that our barriers meet the required Irish standards, these safety barriers are chapter 8 compliant for instance, and that they are some of the most robust and durable road barriers on the market. Buying quality is incredibly important when deciding on which traffic management and safety equipment to purchase. We insist on supplying road & safety barriers that have been tested by industry leading utilities and traffic management companies before making their way into production.
Chapter 8 barriers are most commonly used by traffic management companies, civil engineers and building contractors. However they are also often used in a wide range of other environments. They are perfect for directing traffic and segregating members of the work force and civilians from potential dangers. Their hi-visibility colours and reflective strips mean that they can clearly highlight and help guard against potential dangers. Manufactured from recycled plastics they also offer an environmentally friendly and durable barrier, which can be easily stacked and transported.
This Chapter 8 compliant Road Barrier is one of the most popular blow moulded barriers on the market. We supply these at an incredibly discounted price and they are one of our most popular products due to their simple, yet effective design. This superior blow moulded HDPE barrier offers superb quality at a low life cost. Plastic barriers offer one of the easiest and most cost effective ways of providing a protective shield to prevent damage or harm when road works are taking place.
These road barriers can be supplied with the sturdy standard black feet or sleek anti-trip feet. The anti-trip foot is specially designed to completely eliminate a trip hazard on one side. We recommend using an anti-trip foot when work is taking place in highly pedestrianised areas. Make sure the anti-trip shallow side of the foot is facing pedestrianised walkways and you can immediately eliminate the possibility of civilians tripping and injuring themselves. Both types of feet swivel, meaning that you can easily stack the barriers on top of one another once the plastic barrier feet are swivelled in line with the barrier. Once rotated 90 degrees, so they are perpendicular to the barrier, they provide a stable and secure base.

Designed for temporary use, plastic road barriers are extremely hardwearing and completely reusable. These road barriers connect to each other by using a very simple male and female connection. The one side of the barrier is equipped with a hole, into which the opposite side of the next road barrier securely slots into. This makes these plastic barriers these easiest on the market to connect & you can quickly assemble a temporary safety barrier system.
There are a few different ways of manufacturing road barriers & traffic barriers out of plastic. These chapter 8 barriers are blow moulded. That means that they are inflated as a hot, hollow thermoplastic preform inside of a closed mould. This means that the inflated shape takes on the form of the mould cavity. This provides consistency, meaning that each of the plastic barriers are manufactured to exactly the same specification and reduces the risk of quality issues.
Road safety barriers' high visibility colours act as an early warning of hazards for both pedestrians and road users, with an additional reflective strip to enhance visibility after dark or in poor weather conditions. This makes them ideal for providing safe traffic management, or for indicating hazardous areas when road maintenance is taking place.
These plastic safety barriers are available for delivery throughout Ireland. For international orders please contact our team directly.
Alternatives
We also have a pedestrian safety barrier, which is also manufactured from plastic. This stands at 1.1 meters tall in hi-visibility red, but it is not a chapter 8 compliant barrier as it doesn’t incorporate a reflectivity strip.
For a smaller, but sturdy, water filled barrier then take a look at our standard water fill traffic barrier. These road barriers are only 560mm tall, but once filled with water they weigh a whopping 55kg. Although they lack a lot of the 800mm water separators unique & revolutionary features, for everyday use they present a great alternative for road delineation and separation. They are commonly used for as a more semi-permanent solution due to their weight. If you need a taller water-filled barrier then take a look at our 800mm water filled barrier. It is a slightly lighter barrier at 27.5kg once filled, but its unique design means it is incredibly durable and wind resistant.
