This Biodegradable Weed Control Membrane is the first on the market to be manufactured from purely organic material that is fully compostable with a low carbon. Designed to be a low maintenance fabric for weed control and moisture conservation which is economical and easy to use.
This Weed Control Fabric is the only membrane on the market certified to BS EN 13432:2000 for compostability – breaking down fully to nutritious matter leaving no synthetic residue.

Manufactured from eco-friendly Polylactic Acid, it looks and feels very much like your conventional, non-woven petrochemical-based membranes which are available on the market today. PLA has been manufactured from annually renewable, starch-rich vegetables with production requiring fewer fossil fuels and generating overall less greenhouse gases than traditional plastic fabrics.
The visually pleasing Geotextile Weed Control Fabric is stronger, more robust and easier to handle than any other degradable fabrics on the market and resists airborne seed settlement much better.
We also supply 3m and 4m widths upon request for larger-scale projects.
