A vivid CO2 fire extinguisher perfect for dousing flames in construction sites this fire extinguisher can be used on Class B fires and Class E fires. Class B fires are found in areas that consist of flammable liquids, gasses, oil, solvents, tar and oil-based lacquers and paint. Class E fires are fires caused by electricity or electrical equipment. Both types of fires can be found on construction sites and the CO2 fire extinguisher ensures the fires are cleared in rapid succession. The CO2 fire extinguisher successfully conquers flames by cutting off the fire's oxygen supply which smothers the flames and extinguishes them.
With its BS: EN3 certification, the fire extinguisher is an up-to-date industry standard fire extinguisher that can be used on any construction site. It is recommended to have 1 CO2 extinguisher and 1 water/foam extinguisher at each fire point on each storey of a building. The larger the site, the more fire points are needed.
CO2 fire extinguisher CAN be used on Class B & E fires:
- B – Flammable liquids – solvents, paints, fuels, tar, oil
- E – Electrical equipment – computers, servers, TVs
CO2 fire extinguisher CANNOT be used on Class A, C, D and F fires:
- A - Solid combustibles - wood, paper, plastic, cloth
- C – Gasses - propane, butane
- D – Metals - magnesium, titanium, sodium, lithium
- F – Cooking oils – cooking fat, olive oil
