Portwest Cut level 3 Glove

Hand injuries and cuts to hands in certain industries such as manufacturing are high risk and frequent. Therefore, cut level gloves are a necessity to protect workers and to adhere to health and safety regulations.

These CE Certified Cut Level Gloves provide level C cut resistance to protect the wearer against cuts and sharp objects. The liner glove is seamless give the wearer a comfortable fit and maximum dexterity. This glove has an added feature which protects against short term exposure to temperatures up to 100 degrees.

The cut protection offered in this glove is categories as medium, level C as per the British Standard EN 388.

This cut protection glove is tested according to the British Standard EN 388. The standards test the following attributes of a glove:

1. Abrasion Resistance
2. Cut Resistance, Coup Test
3. Tearing Strength
4. Puncture Resistance
5. Cut Resistance, TCM Test ISO 13997, and
6. Impact Protection

You’ll find numbers from 1 to 4 on the back of every pair of gloves. These numbers indicate the performance of the gloves against the attribute tests above. This gives employers and workers alike the confidence that hands are sufficiently protected in the workplace

These cut level gloves score:

• 4 for Abrasion Resistance
• X (not tested – see TCM test below) for Cut Resistance, Coup Test,
• 4 for Tearing Strength
• 3 for Puncture Resistance
• C for Cut Resistance, TCM Test ISO 13997
